Civic authorities have to tackle water woes ahead of monsoon: Ajay Devgan From ANI Mumbai, June 2: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan has criticised civic authorities in Mumbai for their non-preparedness ahead of the monsoons. Devgan expressed his dissatisfaction over the civic authorities action in not ensuring adequate measures to avoid water woes ahead of the monsoons. Stressing on the need to implement the plans passed by the central committee to tackle the problems during monsoon, he said, "The people of Juhu who are working so hard are not benefited despite the central committee passing plans to widen drains in the Juhu area to avoid water logging which is the only solution. Infact 15-20 per cent of the work is being completed and slums have been shifted from the area, but the work is pending just because of two to three structures." "I want the situation to improve ahead of the monsoons because I suffer from the menace of monsoon every year. I would like to request all the authorities that they should not delay any further in executing the plans that have been passed," he added. The arrival of monsoon has set alarm bells ringing and people of Mumbai are worried of the various problems caused due to the onset of monsoon crippling the city life. Mumbai has been the worst affected during monsoons in last few years.
